The Hand That Feeds: Pt 2

Off The Rails

Ever just feel like you’re living the cookie cutter existence? Like you don’t own yourself, your life, even your family. Even they are part of the plan – Go, Do, Learn, Replicate, Teach. The day in, day out 9-5. Paycheck is the finished result. But what is the endgame? Retirement? To what really? Most people that retire essentially will do nothing but house chores and fix-its. Maybe they’ll start that hobby they’ve always wanted to do or more of the one they already had. Very few retire in luxury. Those that do probably already lived in luxury. I picture myself being a camp host in some remote location that no one’s heard of. Because in such places, you meet the most down to earth and honest people who will never judge you on your impoverishment, ethnicity or appearances. They just want to be where you are. Away.

We all have our own ideas of success. We always dream about ‘If only…..’ Even the super rich do it. It’s a natural instinct to want more. More food, more clothes, more furniture, more things, more time, more money. Lots more money. It cures happiness.

But what if that existence, which we have all slaved away for year after year got the better of us? What if you just said “F*** it”?

I know, that’s a bit extreme. But I totally sympathize with this character for obvious reasons. I think we all at some point arbitrarily want to go off the rails. But I hope NONE of us turn into the character portrayed by Michael Douglas.

What if your anger had pent up over years and you just held it in. All that time seething, again thinking “If only….”. Then something ignited that powder keg you had been holding onto, and the unthinkable happened.

What if you went completely nuts?

Watch this. It’s truly convoluted and confusing I know. You may have to watch it twice. Many of these I did rewatch to grasp the whole scope of things. Please watch to the end.

This woman, who is obviously paranoid as well as mentally unstable, lived in Phoenix, Arizona. She believed people – residents and patrons, even celebrities – were imitating or stealing her identity. Her hair, her eyebrows, her lips. She stalked them. She accused them. She berated them. She felt they were stealing herself and they owed her. Holly M Colino went after random people for many years.

Recently,  Holly Colino moved back to her hometown of Rochester, New York. On September 1, Megan Dix was on her lunch break at a park in Brockport from where she worked at Lowes Home Improvement. Holly Colino, for reasons yet unknown, gunned down Megan in her vehicle as she was answering emails on her laptop.
